It's been a while since I last posted, and to be honest this is mainly due to the fact that I have been a little bit lazy to come here and to get on with my little projects, and although I have loads of fun working on my quilts etc., sometimes it feels nice to give it a rest. I have, however, been working (at a snail's pace) on an hexagon quilt that had been left aside for a long time, waiting for me to have the will to finish it. The truth is that I usually get very enthusiastic at the start of a project, but half way through I get new ideas. By then it's too late to restart, so I end up starting another quilt at the same time, like this one.
(Don't even get me started on other quilts I have already started or I am about to start! You'd definitely think I'm not very sane!)
Sometimes, it means that some projects are left behind like this quilt I'm showing you today, but eventually they will all get finished (hopefully!). I wouldn't feel in peace with myself otherwise :P So, here it is. An English paper piecing hexagon quilt, finished!
Ah! Well! It's smaller than I intended and I am no longer sure if I like the choice of fabrics. That's what happens when you work on something for soooooo long :P
Já não dou sinais por aqui há alguns tempo, e para ser honesta isso deve-se ao facto de ter andado assim um bocadinho preguiçosa para aparecer por aqui e para continuar com os meus pequenos projetos, e apesar de me divertir imenso a fazer os meus quilts etc. às vezes sabe bem deixa-los de lado por algum tempo. Tenho, no entanto, vindo a trabalhar (a passo de caracol) num quilt de hexágonos que havia sido deixado de lado há já bastante tempo, à espera de que me desse vontade de o terminar. A verdade é que costumo ficar súper entusiasmada no início de cada projeto, até que surgem novas ideias. Depois, como já é tarde demais para recomeçar, acabo por começar a fazer um outro quilt em paralelo, como é o caso deste.(Para não falar em outros quilts já iniciados ou que estou prestes a iniciar! Iriam pensar que não bato muito bem!)
Isto significa que às vezes alguns projetos são deixados de lado como este quilt que vos mostro hoje, mas eventualmente serão todos terminados (espero!), ou eu não me sentiria em paz comigo mesma :P Então, aqui está. Um quilt de hexágonos, acabado!Ah! Pois! Bem! É mais pequeno do que eu pretendia e também já não sei se gosto da escolha de tecidos. É o que acontece quando se trabalha em algo por tannnnnnnto tempo :P
